Inland Ash Scattering (IAS) is an additional option for managing cremated ashes in Singapore beyond scattering at sea, home storage, or columbaria niches. It allows next-of-kin to scatter cremated human ashes in designated lanes at the Garden of Peace or Garden of Serenity.
The process
Prepare all necessary documents before booking an ash scattering session.
- Digital Death Certificate – Where applicable
- Identification Papers of Next-of-Kin
- Letter of Authorisation (if applicant is not a next-of-kin)

Bring the cremated remains and payment confirmation slip to the Ash Collection Centre. Staff will guide you through the process of processing remains into fine ashes and placing them into one-time use scattering containers. You may provide your own container if preferred.
